Support Independent Booksellers

I know how easy it is to shop on Amazon–it’s so cheap, too!  We want everything instantly, don’t we, and at midnight when the shops are closed, you can download anything you want BAM!  But I almost feel like when I get in my car and crawl through traffic to a locally-owned shop to pay full price for a book I can hold in my hands and take right home, it’s in someway like an additional tithe I’m tossing in the Sunday collection basket.  Spread the love, save humanity–shop independent bookstores.  Or something like that.  You can use the IndieBound link below to locate independent sellers near you, AND you can even purchase your titles online at most of these places.  If you’re like me and you still like to kick the tires and people watch, below are reviews of some great places for reading and reflection.  If you have a fabulous locally-owned book shop in your town and you’d like to be featured as a guest reviewer, contact us!
